The bronze metallurgical and foundry technology in China is 3,000 years old. Bronze is an alloy of pure copper with such chemical elements as zinc, lead, nickel, phosphorus, etc. The lost-wax casting is used in bronze foundry technology: first make wax matrix with fusible beeswax, pour fine slurry over it many times and coat it with flame-proof material to harden it; the mould is thus made. After the heated beeswax flows out, the cavity is ready to receive liquid copper. The finished product is turned out after some treatment. The bronzewares manufactured in such a way are used for production and household purposes.

Today they are made as replicas and imitations of relics. Their shaping, decorative lines and casting technology integrate such art fields as painting, sculpture, designing and handicraft. Well known for their exquisite decoration and outstanding shaping, they fully display the essence of the Chinese ancient culture and art.
